Every Day A New Thing

Everyday, David and I experience a God-sighting.  Sometimes it is a small thing, other days it is totally amazing.

Recently, our God-sighting has been to watch our local church come alive with the call of God to reach out beyond the church walls into the lives of hurting and broken people. Our pastor, Ryan Riddell is into his second full week on the streets of downtown Dayton - homeless.  His goal is to bring awareness to the plight of teens aging out of foster care.

Our local church, The Shelter Community Church of the Nazarene has organized an new outreach - Lamplighters Orphan Care Ministries.  They are reaching out for guidance and support.  Just today, I received an email from one of the coordinators - Jen Hauk -

Wanted to let you know that I just received the acceptance letter for Shelter as being part of the Christian Alliance for Orphans. Yeah! I have been praying for what Lamplighters is to do next...anxious for the Aging Out Project to get rolling :)

I was so excited with her news and went on the website to see if we were listed yet and....YES.  Let us encourage you to look into how your church can partner with Christian Alliance for Orphans.

Our journey continues.....
